
Looking for candidate with health & safety experience in a manufacturing setting, industrial accident/hazard investigation, developing and implementing plant safety plans. OSHA certifications, ergonomics experience, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Six sigma green belt a plus.
Generates, prepares, oversees and monitors all aspects of the Plant Safety Plan. Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. Plans and implements programs to train managers and employees in workplace safety practices. Works to insure that the target DART rate established for the Plant is achieved or exceeded on an annual basis. Prepares studies and analysis of industrial accident causes and hazards to health for use by company personnel and outside agencies. Leads the investigation of accidents, injuries and cooperates in the preparation of materials and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits and insurance investigations. Works closely with all members of Human Resources to insure accurate reporting for the Plant's Workers Compensation program
Requirements - Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with related experience and training or a minimum of five years of experience in a health and safety environment.
- Candidate must have the proven ability to drive change.
- Management experience preferred.
- Must be willing to be on call 24/7 and work abnormal hours as needed.
-OSHA certification a plus.
Black Belt or Green Belt certification desired.
