Position Summary
As the internal and external evangelist of your services product line, you are charged with services success. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing service offer to developing new services for the company. You will define services offers from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry and services experience and your contact with customers. You must possess a unique blend of business and a big-picture vision, and the drive and creativity to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time understanding customer, prospect and market problems, synthesizing these needs, and defining and releasing innovative services for our targeted markets
The Services Marketing/Offer manager is responsible for managing the global services portfolio (Support Services - HW/SW Maintenance, Transaction, Managed Services, Hosting/SaaS and Professional Services) to achieve profitable revenue growth and business plan objectives. He/She translates customer, market, competitive intelligence and solution requirements into services requirements and brings to market services offers (products) that are packaged and tailored for a given vertical industry, technology solution and geography. The incumbent is responsible for the complete lifecycle of the service from concept through discontinuation.
In this role, the Service Offer Manager integrates Service Offers to strengthen our solution value proposition, build competitive differentiation and customer retention. He/she provides holistic view of the services portfolio, market, strategy and brand, supports industry verticals, Region Sales and Deployment. Develop offers and Area Ready to Sell sales kits including value quantification works collaboratively with solution management/marketing , Services Design/Engineering to operationalize to ensure ability to deploy and deliver Service.
The incumbent develops and coordinates launch plans and program including Marcom activities.
The Services Marketing/Offer Management is a combined role which provides a holistic approach that includes both OUTBOUND and INBOUND focus activities such as:
Outbound Focus
• Service Offer Requirements, Strategy, Roadmaps
• Market and Competitive Intelligence and Analysis including "Attack/Winback" Programs
• Service Offer Evangelist and Expert, Sales Support/Demand Creation
• Customer Support
• Go to Market Plans and Programs: Key Messages, Value Proposition, Value quantification, Area Ready to Sell - Sales Kit/Collateral i.e. Presentation, Proposal Content, Scope of Service/Statement of Work, Contract Addendum, Pricing, Datasheets etc..
• Service Launch and Market Events
Inbound Focus
• Offer Development, roadmaps and realization - concept through discontinuation
• Business and Marketing Plan development, Program Metrics for success
• Lead services program development with Program Management Phase Gate review, investment prioritization, revenue and deliverables interlock with cross functional owners
• Project Management, program tracking and reporting (Funnel, file value, revenue, attach rate etc)
The Services marketing/Offer Manager is responsible for defining, implementing and deploying service offers across NCR's targeted vertical industries (Retail, Hospitality, Travel/Gaming.) The primary focus will be Financial Banking, self-service ATMs including payment solutions. The service offers are both part of NCR Solutions as well as Standalone Services that are designed to further NCR's service leadership. There will be a heavy focus on high Availability Services (Remote Monitoring/Mgmt), Managed Services, Software as a Service/Hosting / Transactional Process Services and Professional Services.
He/She will be responsible for building out a comprehensive, highly differentiated services portfolio that enables NCR to build market, wallet and mind share by translating industry/customer/solution requirements, identifying portfolio gaps, enhancing existing offers, and developing new services that can be implemented to support profitable growth of our business.
The Services Marketing/Offer Manager is responsible for the Services Portfolio assigned and managing the cross functional deliverables from concept to discontinuation. He/she would lead framing opportunities or problems, conceptualizing ideas or solutions, defining requirements, defining scope of service, pricing strategy and discount frameworks, developing sales and marketing collateral and working closely with key constituency (Customers, Industry Forums/Partners, NCR Industry and Product /Solution Marketing and Management, Marketing Deployment, Services Design and Engineering, Sales, Services Operations and Professional Services) to bring to market the Service Solution.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Understands the Global market (industry, customer and competition) and NCR in-order to develop and manage opportunities to grow services revenue and improve margins
• Develop service offers and programs to drive demand / results for Services for Targeted Industries and solutions including Multi-vendor
• Responsible for Annual Strategic Long Range Plan and Annual Operational Plan for respective programs including evolution of the strategy, market/competitive factors, revenue and investment projections, price/contract erosion, potential business development and/or game changing opportunities
• Work with Sales, Services Design & Engineering, Service Delivery & Operation leadership to solve complex business issues
• Develop, and realize program business plans and track key metrics/performance
Deliverables which would lead to successful completion of above responsibilities include, among others:
• Solutions Design and Identification (Requirements, Value Proposition, customer economic model)
• Business Case (market, competition, capability, pricing strategy, NCR economic model)
• Thought leadership on Service Trends, Strategy, Requirements and Direction both internally, with customers and industry forums, analysts
• Go-to-market strategy (customers, customer/sales tools, competition)
• Acts as Subject Matter Expert and provides consultative support and synthesis of competitive intelligence
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
• BA/BS degree in business/marketing or a technical discipline
• 5+ years of experience in Travel and/or services
• Functional qualifications: strong product / services product management, program development and release success
• Domain knowledge in Financial banking industry, payments and networking
• Deep services knowledge in support/managed services, professional services and Software as a Service (SaaS) / hosting
• 7-10+ years work experience in a technology or services related business preferably with Self service solutions such as ATMs, Payment solutions and transactional processing.
• Advanced PowerPoint skills, Competency in Excel
• US Permanent Resident
Preferred Requirements
• MBA or closely related degree
• Strong Business Accumen/Analytical Skills, complex pricing structures/frameworks
• Self-starter, works collaboratively across multiple disciplines and organizations. Has ability to think conceptually and is a resourceful problem solver.

• Six Sigma Green Belt
• Knowledge of NCR systems/tools (SPT,WOT, GSDB, Team, PSA etc..) is an asset
