Regional (South) Channel Manager - Low Voltage Products - ABB - Houston, TX



Looking for candidates with Bachelor's Degree, 7+ years experience, sale manager, channel manager, marketing/account manager, industrial/electronics/low voltage products, channel distributorship, network, reseller, or VAR.

General Information: : Under the direction of the Director, Channel Management, the
Regional Channel Manager is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of third party channel authorizations that support the go-to-market objectives of the LV Products business unit and ensuring LP customers can access information, products, solutions, sales support, and services through authorized third party channels in a manner that produces high levels of customer satisfaction and in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

Tasks: • Maintains a working knowledge of the laws that govern third party channel
appointments and terminations

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, engineering or related field
and minimum of 7 years of experience, or a special combination of education and experience with demonstrated performance. Previous experience working with or experience as part of a distributorship management team preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Develops functional networks that are suited to producing an integrated market
coverage plan
• Communicates a clear third party channel vision and manages the implementation of
the business unit’s market coverage strategy
• Tactical execution of National and Local Channel Strategy
• Insures the consistent interpretation and implementation of channel strategies and
policies
• Manages annual business planning activities with channel partners
• Organize and Lead meetings for regular distributor Planning and Performance
Assessment activities of channel partners; Annual (Strategic), Monthly (Tactical / Pipeline
Review), Quarterly (Check-up on Annual Planning / Account Development activities)
• Own Actions List from planning sessions and hold individuals accountable
• Evaluates the training needs of ABB personnel in aspects of channel management
including market analysis, market segmentation, demand creation techniques, transactional
functions, channel business models and cost structures, effective channel program
development and channel metrics
• Maintains a business dialogue with senior level managers of the LVP and DM
Business units, LVP Sales, and authorized channel partners
• Continuously assesses changing customer buying behaviors
• Identifies new channel business models that can be offered as alternatives to existing
channels
• Identifies, quantifies and communicates to business units any operational inefficiencies
that if eliminated would reduce overall demand-chain costs
• Coordinates sales and marketing efforts that require channel partner participation
