accessories for the bath. The company, located in Bristol, Pennsylvania, has
specialized in the "art of storage" since 1968.
This opportunity is a leadership position with responsible for
creating, and executing the new product development strategy along with research
and development that keeps us on the cutting edge.
Specific
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for Industrial Design,and Engineering
Product Development team for Robern’s unique line of bathroom
products
· Participate and lead in design reviews.
· Communicate the strategic direction of the company
to all stakeholders along with the tactical methods for success
· Ensure the Product Development process is deployed,
standardized, and continuously improved.
· Implement Kohler design and engineering policy and
methods.
· Identify emerging technology opportunities;
formulate and execute development and application programs/projects for high
value opportunities.
· Maintain current awareness of consumer and
competitor product offerings including product design trends in both the US and
foreign markets.
· Analyzing product performance, making
recommendations for changes to existing collections and identifying
opportunities for new product introductions and line extensions.
· Maintain a work environment that stimulates
creativity.
· Promote a “corporate design philosophy” to be on the
leading edge of design and performance.
· Maintain high standards for new product development
within Industrial Design, Engineering in tandem with Marketing.
· Coach and advise designers and engineers as needed on all new product development work.
· Create and maintain the department budget.
Education and Experience
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Industrial Design from an ABET accredited program. A Masters degree in Product Development is a plus with academic emphasis in product design. Minimum of 10 years of proven product design, management, and development experience in the Consumer Products Market. Must have strong creative and technical skills. Budget responsibility in previous positions is required.
