Accounts Executive - Corporate Accounts, Worldwide - Miami, FL

Seeking bilingual professional with Bachelor's degree and experience in Interior Design and/or sales in Latin America, Mexico, Caribbean territory in consumer goods. Position is set to be based out of Miami with up to 50% travel in the territory.

As an Accounts Executive - Corporate Accounts, Worldwide you will have an opportunity to use your exceptional sales experience, refined communication skills and knowledge of design and construction to grow our corporate accounts business. While this role will be on the Americas team, a globally minded individual is ideal. The current team is comprised of independent, sales-driven business leaders focused on Hospitality Channel growth both within their local Americas Region and Kohler Co. worldwide. One who can navigate an account through diverse overseas product categories, as well as the sensitivities of bathroom experiences of other cultures is ideal.

As a member of the Americas team, you will have Corporate Accounts Worldwide peers in Europe, the Middle East, India, and throughout Asia Pacific. You will be expected to collaborate with your peers, drive sales for your peers, and win for Kohler Worldwide together with designers, accounts, and global owners.

The primary objectives for the first year of this role are:
1. Gain preference for KOHLER Branded product with:
a. Regional hotel brand offices in Latin America
b. Regional key hotel owners in Miami, the Caribbean, CA, and Mexico
c. Regional interior designers in Miami, the Caribbean, CA, and Mexico

2. Drive new sales of KOHLER product within the Hospitality Channels of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean through distributor alignments alongside local KOHLER reps

This position will be located in and based out of Miami, FL.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in hospitality sales, hospitality interior design or account management.
• Must possess moderate skills in written and oral communication with all levels of management and with outside contacts.
• 50% overnight travel required.

Chemical and Metallurgical Lab Manager - Kohler, Wisconsin

Seeking a seasoned candidate with corporate laboratory and professional manufacturing experience, at least 2 years of supervisory experience, and a Master's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or related.

As a Manager, Chemical and Metallurgical Lab, this is your unique opportunity to set your mark live on the leading-edge. Reporting to the Vice President – Supply Chain and Operations Services, this position is responsible for managing all aspects of Kohler’s Chemical and Metallurgical Laboratory operations.  The Lab Manager provides technical support and analytical services to meet business needs and requirements - locally, nationally and internationally.  This position will create and maintain a collaborative environment of continuous improvement across all associates, and various technical disciplines, within the department.  The Manager measures the success and effectiveness of the lab by financial, quality, and delivery metrics as well as through customer feedback.
 

 

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

  1. Production Control Data:  Provide routine analytical services to the operational departments for control of daily manufacturing processes in a timely, cost-effective manner.
  2. Environmental Data and Control:  Sample and analyze wastewater, well water, and solid & hazardous wastes.

  • Perform all of the water, wastewater, waste, air, and industrial hygiene analysis for the Kohler, Wisconsin campus and the Mosel facility.  Support all remote internal locations as requested.
  • Develop and maintain a field sampling and quality control manual.  Assist Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) with landfill well and waste stream sampling and perform the analyses.
  • Plot all routine data.  Analyze and present the data in a manner that is consistent with statistical process control methods.  Occasionally compare the collected data to permit and regulatory limits.

  1. Quality Control:  Maintain a single high standard of quality performance.

  • Develop and document procedures that will enhance the labs reliability of providing consistent analytical results, improve associate and test equipment productivity, and maintain certification standards.  Develop and maintain a system for easily retrieving analytical data from current and historical lab work.
  • Document and maintain current all analytical procedures used in the Procedures Manual within the department.  Develop and keep current maintenance manuals for all major and/or critical instruments and equipment.  Update or replace instruments and equipment as needed to maintain leading capabilities.
  • Employ methods for measuring the quality performance of the Lab.  Develop strategies for improving performance and track progress against defined objectives.  Administer periodic quality audits to track the performance of the control systems.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in the services provided through surveys of customers served and regular interaction with production personnel.  Prioritize and implement improvement of the services and capabilities provided.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of C & M Lab reports and strive for continual improvement in the quality, value, and usefulness of the information to customers.
  • Maintain American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 Standard for the Chemical, Environmental, and Mechanical areas within the Lab, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) certification for testing all parameters analyzed in our wells and wastewater outfalls, WDNR Safe Drinking Water Certification, Wisconsin Department of Agriculture (WDA) Total Coliform Certification. 

  1. Materials and Process Technology:  Introduce materials/process technology improvements or new materials or process technologies that are of interest to Kohler Co. businesses.

  • Keep materials technology skills current through technical journals, seminars, and conferences.
  • Employ materials knowledge, quality data, knowledge of manufacturing operations, and input from production engineers and supervision, identify worthy materials or process improvement projects working with the business units, develop a strategy to implement and to track progress.
  • In cooperation with the business units, work with vendors, engineering, and research organizations to evaluate and promote promising materials or process technologies.
  • Coordinate research projects and participate in consortium efforts to develop and advance materials and manufacturing process technologies.

  1. Problem Solving:  Provide technical assistance to determine probable cause factors in product failures, manufacturing variation, supplier material deviations and workplace/environmental areas. 

  • Provide specialized testing equipment, expertise in materials engineering and analysis, and, as necessary, contract with outside specialists.
  • Support all remote internal testing facilities by promoting technology exchange, quality control procedures, process certification, and access to testing standards within the C&M Lab.

  1. Department Management:  Perform all the financial, resource and strategic planning for the C & M Laboratory.  Interview, recommend and coordinate hiring, training, performance management and resource utilization of all associates within department.   Identify and evaluate critical positions within the department and establish strategies to develop a strong talent succession pool.  Mentor, coach and develop talent utilizing documented performance management tools.
  2. Safety/Housekeeping:  Maintain a safe working environment and good housekeeping that is consistent with a professional organization.  Comply with all state and federal regulations for laboratory safety.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY

  • Masters of Science degree in Materials Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering with a minimum of eight years of experience, including a minimum of two years as a supervisor. Should have experience in a corporate lab environment with responsibility over multiple products and/or business units.
  • Experience identifying new talent and helping associates grow and develop as well as an ability to provide hands-on technical support.
  • Ability to build relationships and work with cross-functional business units on pre-identified projects as well as the ability to proactively identify areas of opportunity across business units. Exposure to global projects is a plus.  
  • Experience providing various testing in metallurgical processes, being able to interpret the results and understand the machinery that generates them. Strong emphasis on Metallurgical testing with ceramics and/or chemical testing capabilities a strong plus.
  • Experience sourcing and procurement testing and other lab equipment a strong plus.

Responsible for complete management of the stainless steel kitchen sink businesses from creation of new products through their complete product lifecycle. He/She will have influence on product and channel strategies for both the Kohler and Sterling stainless steel product lines in North America.

The Stainless Steel Product Manager will be responsible for planning and directing the company’s short and long-range marketing programs, and will operate as the recognized central authority on all marketing matters related to the stainless steel kitchen sink category. Coordinate and work closely with all headquarters departments, including Sales, Advertising, Materials, Forecasting, Operations, Engineering, Accounting, Legal and Supply Chain. Responsible for development and implementation of product line objectives, and develop strategies necessary to achieve objectives over both long and short-term time spans.


HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
1. Develop long-term marketing plans for stainless steel kitchen sinks. Incorporate sales, advertising, research and promotional efforts required to meet current and projected market objectives.
2. Prepare annual marketing plans for assigned products, including market strategy, incentive promotions, sales forecast, projected market penetration and budget estimates.
3. Develop short-term product marketing programs to obtain business in line with product sales forecasts and profit objectives.
4. Manage product prices, terms of sale and discounts recognizing our objectives and our competition.

6. Provide presentations/training to guide promotional activities of branch sales personnel.

1. Frequent contact with Product Engineering and Industrial Design regarding the development of new products or changes in existing products.
2. Frequent contact with Advertising and Promotional Services to obtain advertising and promotional support consistent with the marketing plan.
3. Frequent contact with Branch Managers and sales executives regarding market penetration, new product justification, changes in existing products, promotional programs, etc.
4. Moderately frequent contact with the PA Controller regarding the development of budget and capital expenditure schedules and the performance of the department.
5. Moderately frequent contact with the Legal Department.

External Business Relationships:
1. Attend trade shows, exhibits, seminars and marketing conferences.
2. Discuss new products, materials and purchased products with sales and technical representatives from outside Kohler Co.
3. Contact with inventors to review and evaluate their ideas and products.
4. Contact customers to obtain market information on product sales and market trends. Includes distributors, builders, consumers, architects, engineers, plumbing contractors, O.E.M. users and retail outlets.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business is required. MBA/MS preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Product Management, Marketing, Channel Management, and/or Product Development with progressively more responsibility and a track record of results. Ideal candidates will have strong brand experience.
• Strong analytical skills, strong spreadsheet knowledge, strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous supervisory or coaching experience preferred.
