Supply Chain Analyst responsibilities include analysis required to support Supply Chain network design strategic initiatives, which will include the incorporation of various logistics and distribution alternatives and allow the ability to recommend operation change to enable a highly cost-effective, customer-focused physical network. This associate will also conduct analysis necessary to support regular supply chain network design improvements. Responsibilities will also include network modeling, general project support and general departmental analytical support.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
- Perform analytical work supporting the Manager-Supply Chain related to the implementation and execution of Kohler Co.’s long-term Supply Chain network strategy. Analysis will require collaboration with various associates throughout the Supply Chain organization to include all known and potential locations, strategies, warehousing requirements, transportation options and customer requirements.
- Support the analysis for projects related to new and on-going enhancements to the physical supply chain network, including the investigation of alternative distribution options intended to improve processes, lower transportation expenses and improve service levels.
- Conduct analysis enabling the ability to make decisions that support the on-going maintenance of the supply chain network, mainly via requested changes to CMIR’s (Customer Master Information Records).
- Perform ad hoc analysis required to evaluate, plan and implement design and supply chain projects.
- Audit effectiveness and sustainability of network improvement initiatives. Validate savings identified versus actual savings achieved.
- Maintain and analyze the weekly Schedule Adherence report by manufacturing location for all products in the Master Production Schedule and publish to Materials and Manufacturing management.

Supervisory Relationships:
- Reports to Manager- Sales & Operation Planning
Organization Relationships:
- Has contact with all levels of Engines Management.
- Has frequent contact with Operations, Warehousing, Purchasing, Materials, Customer Service, Sales, Systems, Accounting, Marketing, New Product Development, and Quality Control.
External Business Relationships:
- Has occasional contact with external vendors, consultants, material suppliers and customers.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - WHAT YOU NEED TO
QUALIFY
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain or Materials/Logistics Management.
- Minimum of two years experience required in operations and supply planning.
- Minimum of two years experience in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- High analytical skills and proficiency with spreadsheets and database tools.
- Very strong communication skills, leadership, and facilitation skills.
SKILL PREFERENCES – HOW YOU CAN STAND OUT
- An understanding of the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model and its application.
- Working knowledge of push and pull systems, lean principles, and applicable manufacturing processes.
- Statistical tools in their application of demand and supply planning.
- APICS course work.
